I have had good luck here with gluten free options. They're not on the menu but last time our waiter was very through in checking with the kitchen.

Diatomaceous earth. Non toxic to humansc and animals. You can get food grade which is edible. It is microscopically abrasive. It scratches the shells of any insect with an exoskeleton. We use it at home for spiders, beetles and ants. You need to reapply it after it rains Outdoors. Indoors, even after you sweep it it still stays behind. We put it in our window wells, around our wood pile, and all the ledges in our basement. You can sprinkle it on carpet, and after vacuuming a little stays behind. It's not expensive, and you can get it at Big R or online. I imagine it would work on roaches since it works on beetles. I've heard it works great on bedbugs.
